  • What are the age groups for the youth NFL Flag Football league?
    The youth Flag Football league offers age-specific divisions to cater to a wide range of participants. The age groups are divided into age-appropriate divisions to ensure fair play and a fun experience for all players: Rookie League: Ages 4-6 Coed League: Ages 7-14 All-Girls League: 7-17 The Coed League for players aged 7-14 will take place at Boyce Park. Games for the Rookie League and All-Girls League will be held on Tuesday or Friday evenings at Linton Middle School in Penn Hills.

  • How are teams formed, and can friends or siblings be placed on the same team?
    Teams are formed through a draft process conducted by the coaches before the first game. We do allow buddy requests and siblings to be placed on the same team, but these requests must be submitted during registration and prior to the draft. Once the draft is complete, team rosters are finalized, so be sure to make your request early!
  • What equipment is needed for flag football?
    Each registered player will receive an official NFL Flag jersey, NFL Flag shorts, and an NFL Flag branded flag belt as part of their registration. The only equipment players need to bring is a mouthpiece, which is required for all games. Cleats are optional but recommended for better traction on the field.
  • Do kids need prior football experience to join the league?
    No prior football experience is needed! Our league is open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Our coaches focus on teaching the fundamentals of flag football in a fun, supportive environment so that every child can learn, grow, and enjoy the game.
